Profile

I am a user advocate before anything else. I care deeply about quality in the largest and smallest details. (Real talk: I get a bit boring and annoying

about some details – but trust me, they matter!) User-centered design is exciting and fulfilling to me because it’s part puzzle solving, part creativity, and relies on empathetic communication

with people. I like people.

Experience

Director of User Experience, Nursa;

Murray, Utah – September 2021 – Present

I lead UX, Ul, and front-end implementation strategy, driving research, planning, and execution while fostering a collaborative design culture across Ul, Research, Product Management, Development, Leadership, Sales, Support, and Marketing. Spearheaded high-level and granular design decisions, orchestrating seamless feature integration to enhance user journeys at scale. Navigated challenges including technical limitations, tight timelines, and lean design teams, ensuring delivery of high-fidelity design assets when needed. UX Strategist, UX Design Lead, Accela Software;

I managed design sprint work by doing (or guiding) planning of discovery research. I review, and sign-off on the plans and delivery of work by more junior Research team members as they plan and through

design sprints. My role is to prep, and help the scrum team understand "the why' of design requirements. I guide the designer through coaching, by providing stories, wireframes, managing iterations and team reviews. I serve as the primary liaison between the UX and Product teams (for three scrum teams) and am at the completion of a collaborative UX/ Product team effort to score and improve our flagship applications overall usability and modernize the system design. I am the manger &

lead strategist for this project.

Interactions Designer & Researcher, Accela Software;

Draper, Utah – March 2018 – March 2019

As a member of the research team I did both product and usability research (partnered with a product manager) and created researched persona, user journeys, task diagrams and wireframes and collaborated with visual designers to prep, user test and adjust final design delivery to

scrum teams.

User Experience Designer, AdvancedMD;

South Jordan, Utah – May 2014 – February 2018
